POINT SCORING METHOD

 

 HOLE BY HOLE

 FOR EACH HOLE, 2 POINTS ARE AWARDED TO THE PLAYER WITH THE LOWEST NET SCORE  ON THAT HOLE.  HANDICAPS ARE AWARDED ON THE HOLES FROM THE HARDEST TO THE  EASIEST.  IN THE CASE OF A TIE ON A HOLE EACH PLAYER GETS 1 POINT.  MAXIMUM POINTS  PER MATCH = 18

 

 NET STROKE PLAY

 FOR EACH MATCH 5 POINTS ARE AWARDED TO THE PLAYER WITH THE LOWEST TOTAL  NET SCORE.  IN THE CASE OF A TIE EACH PLAYER IS AWARDED 2.5 POINTS.  MAXIMUM  POINTS PER MATCH = 5.

 

 NET MATCH PLAY

 FOR EACH MATCH 5 POINTS ARE AWARDED TO THE PLAYER WHO WINS THE NET  MATCH  PLAY.  IN THE CASE OF A TIE EACH PLAYER IS AWARDED 2.5 POINTS.   MAXIMUM POINTS PER MATCH = 5.

 

 FORFEITS

 IN THE CASE OF A FORFEIT, THE OPPONENT WINS 10 POINTS. (NET STROKE AND NET      MATCH PLAY)..  THE  REMAINING 18  POINTS   ARE  EARNED BY PLAYING A SUB IN THE  SAME FLIGHT AS THE MISSING  PLAYER , USING THE AVERAGE OF ALL PLAYERS IN THAT  FLIGHT. POINTS ARE AWARDED  ON THE HOLE BY HOLE BASIS.. ABSENT PLAYER  DOES  NOT RECEIVE  ANY POINTS.

 

 HANDICAPS

 HANDICAPS ARE CALCULATED USING 90% OF THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE  PLAYER’S SCORE AND PAR.  USGA EQUITABLE STROKE CONTROL IS EMPLOYED TO  INSURE HANDICAPS ARE FAIR.  A MINIMUM OF 4 ROUNDS ARE REQUIRED TO  RECALCULATE THE PLAYER’S HANDICAP.  NO HANDICAP SHALL EXCEED 18.
